NATED Programs (National Accredited Technical Education Diplomas)

Electrical trade theory covers the basics of electricity, circuit analysis, codes, and safety, enabling electricians to design, install, and maintain electrical systems.
Diesel trade theory teaches technicians about diesel engines, fuel systems, and maintenance for diagnosis, repair, and upkeep.
Plumbing covers water supply, drainage, appliance installation, pipe repair, and maintenance – keeping water flowing safely.
Rigging theory covers load calculation, equipment knowledge, safety procedures, load handling, and regulations to ensure safe lifting operations.
Platers Theory N2 is a course offered in South African vocational education, focusing on the skills and knowledge required for platers and welders.
Electrotechnology applies electrical principles to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
N3 Mathematics covers advanced algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and stats. N3 Engineering Science focuses on applied science for engineering: mechanics, energy, electricity, and materials.
Engineering Drawing N3 covers drawing basics, projections, isometric views, sectional views, dimensioning, and engineering standards. Prepares for drafting/design roles in engineering.

Management Assistant
A Management Assistant provides administrative support to managers and organizations, handling tasks such as scheduling, communication, and record-keeping to ensure efficient operations.
Human Resource Management
Human Resource Management involves planning, organizing, and overseeing an organization’s workforce, including recruitment, training, employee development, and benefits administration.
Business Management
Business management involves planning, organizing, and supervising an organization’s resources and operations to achieve its goals and objectives efficiently and effectively.

Electrical engineering involves the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, including electrical circuits, electronics, and electromagnetism, to create innovative solutions and technologies.
Mechanical engineering involves the design, construction, and use of machines, applying principles of physics, mathematics, and materials science to develop innovative mechanical systems and solutions.
Civil engineering involves the design, construction, and maintenance of physical infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water treatment systems, to improve society and the built environment.
Common Notes
After completing N2: 2-4 years of practical experience as an Apprenticeship, students can apply for an Artisan job.
After completing N6 +18 months of practical experience, students can apply for a National N Diploma
Practical experience can be gained through internship, learnerships, Apprenticeship or in-service training.
The N diplomas are registered on the NQF Level 6, equivalent to a National Diploma.
